Langtang Gosaikunda Trek Overview
The trip to Langtang Gosainkunda is recommended for individuals who like to witness the Himalayan glaciers, mid-hills, and high-altitude lakes, such as the renowned Gosainkunda Lake. The trekking area is close to the Tibet and Nepal border, north of Kathmandu.
The 10-day Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is the ideal combination of one of Nepal’s simplest and most breathtaking treks. This trip is a great combination of spectacular views and moderate trails.
The trail wanders alongside the river through thick rhododendron forests, until it emerges from the tree line and proceeds towards the alpine areas. It then crosses a glacial moraine and arrives at the reconstructed settlement of Langtang.
The first portion of this climb involves driving down the Trishuli River, which flows north from Kathmandu through Dhunche and Trishuli Bazaar before arriving in Syabrubesi. The Gosaikunda Trek concludes with the climb to Laurabina La Pass (4610m), which leads to the nearby settlement of Thadepati.
From there, one can enjoy stunning views of the eastern landscape and witness the sunrise for those who choose to spend the night there. A pleasant journey’s end awaits you when you follow the trail to Chisapani and then go on to Sundarijal.

This led to the valley becoming the location of various temples, monuments, and pilgrimage sites that are important to the Buddhist and Hindu religions.
Swayambhunath Temple
Located on a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, this ancient architectural marvel is one of the most popular tourist spots in the city. It includes the main stupa, several temples, a monastery, a museum, and a well-stocked library.
