Pokhara also offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy lakeside walks, boating, local restaurants, and beautiful views of the surrounding hills. For travelers interested in exploring the region further, our Pokhara Tour can also be customized according to your interests and available time.

Experience the Wildlife of Chitwan

The journey continues to Chitwan National Park, one of Nepal’s most important wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is famous for its subtropical forests, grasslands, wetlands, and rich biodiversity.

During your stay, enjoy activities such as jeep safari, canoeing, birdwatching, nature walks, and wildlife observation. With some luck, you may encounter the greater one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, wild boar, crocodiles, gharials, monkeys, and numerous bird species. The park is also home to the elusive Bengal tiger, although wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. For official information, visit the Nepal Tourism Board.

Experience Tharu Culture

Your Chitwan experience is not limited to wildlife. The region is also home to the Tharu community, known for its distinctive traditions, architecture, music, dance, and way of life. Useful Travel Information
 Nepal Visa Requirements

Most international travelers can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You can also complete the online application before arrival to make the immigration process more convenient. Current tourist visa options include 15, 30, and 90 days, with fees depending on the duration. Some nationalities have different entry requirements, so check the latest information before traveling. (Immigration Department of Nepal)

For the latest requirements and application procedures, visit the official Nepal Department of Immigration or the Nepal Tourist Visa Online Application.

 Passport Requirements

Travelers should carry a valid passport that meets Nepal’s entry requirements and has sufficient blank pages for immigration formalities. Before departure, make sure the information on your passport matches your flight and travel documents.

We recommend keeping digital and printed copies of your passport, visa, travel insurance, flight tickets, hotel confirmations, and emergency contact details. Keep the original documents safely with you throughout the tour.

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for this 8-day Nepal tour. Although the itinerary does not involve high-altitude trekking, unexpected situations such as illness, accidents, flight or road delays, baggage loss, and trip interruption can occur.

Your insurance should ideally cover medical treatment, emergency evacuation, hospitalization, trip cancellation or interruption, baggage loss or delay, and travel delays. Check your policy carefully before departure to understand its coverage and exclusions.

 Best Time to Visit

The best seasons for the Best Tour in Nepal 8 Days are generally spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November). These months usually offer pleasant weather, clearer skies, and good conditions for sightseeing, scenic drives, and Himalayan views.

Winter (December–February) is also suitable for travelers who prefer cooler temperatures and fewer crowds. Chitwan is particularly comfortable for wildlife activities during the cooler months.

Monsoon (June–August) brings frequent rainfall, especially in Pokhara, Chitwan, and along the major road routes. Rain can cause road delays and reduce mountain visibility, so travelers visiting during this period should maintain a flexible schedule. The Nepal Tourism Board lists October–March as a particularly favorable period for Chitwan wildlife activities. (Nepal Tourism Board)

 What to Pack

Pack according to the season and the destinations included in your itinerary. Since this is a sightseeing and wildlife tour rather than a strenuous trek, comfortable clothing and footwear are sufficient.

Recommended items include:

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Lightweight and breathable clothing
  • Warm jacket or fleece
  • Rain jacket or umbrella during monsoon
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Hat or cap
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Personal medications
  • Basic toiletries
  • Small daypack
  • Camera and extra batteries
  • Power bank
  • Insect repellent for Chitwan
  • Small first-aid kit

If you are traveling during winter, bring additional warm layers for early mornings and evenings.

 Currency and Payments

Nepal uses the Nepalese Rupee (NPR). Credit and debit cards are accepted at many hotels, restaurants, and larger businesses in Kathmandu and Pokhara. However, cash is still useful for local shops, markets, small restaurants, tips, entrance fees, and personal expenses.

ATMs are widely available in major tourist areas, but it is advisable to carry some local currency when traveling to Chitwan or other areas outside the major cities.

You can also explore more information about Nepal’s destinations and travel planning through the Nepal Tourism Board.

 Weather Conditions

Nepal’s weather varies according to season and elevation. Kathmandu generally has a moderate climate, Pokhara is warmer and more humid, while Chitwan has a subtropical climate and can become quite hot during summer.

Weather conditions can also affect road travel. During the monsoon, heavy rainfall may cause delays, while winter mornings and evenings can be cold. Check the weather forecast before departure and pack suitable clothing for the season.

 Transportation Information

The tour includes road travel between Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan. Depending on your selected package, transportation can be arranged by tourist bus, private car, van, or another suitable vehicle.

Road conditions and traffic can affect travel times, particularly on the highways connecting Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan. Therefore, actual travel times may vary from the estimated duration.

For travelers looking for greater comfort and flexibility, private transportation can be arranged at an additional cost.

You can also explore our other Nepal travel experiences, including the Nepal Bhutan Tour and Nepal Tibet Tour.

 Wildlife Safety

Chitwan National Park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including greater one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, deer, wild boar, monkeys, crocodiles, gharials, and numerous bird species. The park officially records dozens of mammal species and hundreds of bird species. (Nepal Tourism Board)

During jungle activities, always follow the instructions of your nature guide or naturalist. Maintain a safe distance from wildlife and never attempt to feed, touch, or approach animals.

During nature walks, stay with your group and avoid leaving designated trails without your guide’s permission.

 Photography Guidelines

Nepal offers excellent photography opportunities, from Kathmandu’s ancient temples and stupas to Pokhara’s Himalayan landscapes and Chitwan’s wildlife.

Always ask permission before photographing local people, particularly during religious ceremonies or private activities. Some temples, monasteries, museums, and religious areas may have photography restrictions.

During wildlife safaris, avoid using flash and loud equipment that could disturb animals. Your guide can advise you about safe and appropriate photography locations.

 Cultural Etiquette

Nepal has a rich combination of Hindu and Buddhist traditions, and visitors are encouraged to respect local customs throughout the journey.

When visiting temples, monasteries, stupas, and other religious sites, dress modestly and follow local instructions. Remove your shoes where required and avoid touching religious statues, shrines, prayer objects, or other sacred items.

When visiting Buddhist stupas, follow the traditional clockwise direction when appropriate. Always respect worshippers and avoid interrupting religious ceremonies for photographs.

For more information about Nepal’s cultural attractions and heritage sites, you can refer to the Nepal Tourism Board’s Heritage Site Information.

 Health and Hydration

Staying hydrated is important throughout the tour, especially during sightseeing and jungle activities. Carry a reusable water bottle and drink water regularly.

Use sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat when spending extended periods outdoors. In Chitwan, insect repellent is particularly useful because of the subtropical environment.

Carry your personal medications and a basic first-aid kit. If you have specific dietary or medical requirements, inform your tour operator before departure so appropriate arrangements can be made.

Chitwan National Park Rules

Chitwan National Park is a protected natural area, and visitors must follow park regulations and the instructions of their guides. The park offers activities such as jeep safari, canoe rides, jungle walks, birdwatching, and Tharu cultural experiences. (Nepal Tourism Board)

During jungle activities:

  • Do not feed or disturb wildlife.
  • Maintain a safe distance from animals.
  • Do not leave designated safari vehicles or trails without permission.
  • Avoid loud noises during wildlife observation.
  • Do not litter inside the park.
  • Do not remove plants, rocks, feathers, or other natural items.
  • Follow the instructions of your nature guide and park officials.
  • Respect restricted areas and seasonal regulations.

A park entry permit is required, and entrance fees vary according to nationality. Current information from the Nepal Tourism Board lists separate fees for Nepali, SAARC, and other foreign visitors. (Nepal Tourism Board)

For official information, you can also refer to the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation.

Visa requirements, park regulations, entrance fees, transportation schedules, and other travel conditions can change. Best Tour Package in Nepal 8 Days FAQS

Expand All

Yes. This is an easy-paced cultural, sightseeing, and wildlife tour and does not involve high-altitude trekking. It is suitable for couples, families, senior travelers, and first-time visitors to Nepal.

The best periods are generally spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November), when the weather is favorable for sightseeing and mountain views. For Chitwan wildlife activities, October to March is particularly comfortable.

If your itinerary includes Nagarkot, the highest point is approximately 2,175 m / 7,136 ft. The tour does not involve extreme high-altitude trekking.

Yes, the itinerary includes Chitwan National Park jungle activities. Depending on the package arrangement, activities may include jeep safari, canoeing, nature walks, birdwatching, and Tharu cultural experiences.

Yes. The itinerary can be customized according to your travel dates, transportation preference, accommodation category, activities, and destinations, subject to availability.

The tour generally uses comfortable hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara and a jungle resort or lodge in Chitwan. The exact accommodation category depends on the package you select.

Travel insurance is not normally included in the package price. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical treatment, emergency assistance, trip interruption, baggage loss, and other unexpected travel situations.

Yes. Private transportation can be arranged if you prefer greater comfort and flexibility. The cost may vary depending on the vehicle type and group size.

No. The Nepal tourist visa fee is normally paid separately by the traveler. Many foreign nationals can obtain a visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, although some nationalities must obtain a visa before arrival. Check the latest requirements with the Nepal Department of Immigration or Nepal Tourism Board visa information before traveling.

Chitwan is famous for the greater one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, deer, wild boar, monkeys, crocodiles, gharials, and many bird species. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed because animals live freely in their natural habitat.

An excellent Annapurna Circuit Trek

We had perfect trip to Annapurna Circuit Trek include Tilicho Lake. Me and my 7 friends did this 15 days trip include Kathmandu and Pokhara Tour.

We had confirmed this trip almost 6 months before. They were responsive. They answer all our emails within 2 hours. When we had mate with their team also really helpful, experienced and kind. Even for hiking 🥾 to Annapurna Circuit we didn’t expect that kind of foods, services and teahouses but they had provided us great services. If you are planning any trip to Nepal. Feel free to contact this company and book this trip for your great trip. Highly recommend this agency Best Trek and Adventure for your any kind of trip. Dhanyabad. Namaste.
