Experience the castles and culture of the Himalayas in this 13-night, 14-day tour of Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. Due to the strategic selection of the locations and attractions included in this program, those planning to visit Kathmandu can experience its colorful streets, behold the sunrise in Nagarkot, and find themselves in the spiritual heart of Tibet.
On this journey, you will begin in Kathmandu, where you will visit attractions such as the Swayambhunath and Boudhanath stupas, among the UNESCO World Heritage sites. After a stunning sunrise view of the Himalayas in Nagarkot, you will fly to Lhasa, often referred to as Tibet’s cultural capital and religious center.
Here, you will tour the ancient Potala Palace, a spiritual tour of the Kukhong temple, and a cultural tour of Barkhor Street. Later, you will proceed to Bhutan, a beautiful country that has scenic beauty and dates back to ancient civilization.
Starting in Paro, you will walk towards the famous Taktsang (tiger nest) monastery on the cliff. Learn about Thimphu, the rich city that is a mix of old and new in Bhutan, as well as some historical landmarks like the National Memorial Chorten and the Tashichho Dzong.

Detailed Itinerary
Expand AllToday is the day you arrive at your first destination for the cross-country excursion. Our representatives will be there to pick you up with a warm welcome.
Later, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Thamel. Thamel is a popular tourist destination with ample eateries and cafes where you can try some of the delicious Nepali cuisines. There are a lot of other recreational activities options so you can choose your type of relaxing activity there..
On the second day, you will head out for a sightseeing tour in Katmandu followed by Nagarkot around noon.
You will be starting your day by visiting Swayambhinath which is better known for its stunning views and the architecture by and for the Buddhist people. Then, you will be heading to Bouddhanath Stupa which is one of the biggest stupas in Nepal and is also a popular tourist destination.
You can also visit Pashupatinath which is also a UNESCO heritage site and one of the biggest Hindu temples in Southeast Asia. After roaming around the Kathmandu valley you will then head towards Nagarkot which takes around 1 to 2 hours. Nagarkot is especially known for its scenic sunrise and sunset.
In the early morning, you will witness the beautiful sunrise from the hotel. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast and there are ample waterfalls around Nagarkot where you will visit a few of the beautiful ones.
One can also enjoy paragliding in Nagarkot. After a refreshing excursion around the Nagarkot, you will head back to Kathmandu.
On the fourth day, you will be heading to Lhasa by flight from Tribhuwan International Airport. The flight will be in the early morning and the duration will be around 1 hour 15 minutes. You can enjoy the scenic view of the Himalayas and picturesque valleys of Nepal and China from a height above.
There, our guide will be waiting for you at the airport which will take care of you during the whole journey. This day is separated especially for the traveler to relax and adjust to the attitude and surroundings. So, don’t stress yourself too much and relax for the night as you have a lot more travel things to do.
Today, you will be visiting Potala Palace as your first activity of the day. Potala Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is situated at a height of 3,700 m. You get a chance to dive into rich Tibetan and Buddhist culture and learn more about it.
You will then visit Jokhang Temple where the statues and architecture have been there for more than 2500 years and are also enlisted under UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, you will head out to explore the lively Barkhor Street which is a hub of Tibetan culture.
You will be exploring the Lhasa Valley even more and visit Drepung Monastery. Drepung monastery was once the largest monastery in the world consisting of over 10000 monks.
After visiting the huge monastery you will head towards Sera Monastery which is famous for monk debates and be able to sense the Buddhist iconography. You can head back to your hotel and rest for the night.
It’s the day you bid goodbye to the beautiful Lhasa Valley. Indulge in last-minute shopping in the Lhasa Valley and get souvenirs to remember this beautiful valley later for a whole lifetime.
You will then catch a flight around noon and enjoy the aerial journey to Kathmandu. You can roam around Thamel and later rest for the day in a hotel in Thamel.
In the early morning, you will check out of your hotel and go to Tribhwan International Airport to catch your flight to Bhutan. The flight will take around 1hr 30mins where you can enjoy the view of stunning landscapes from high above.
Upon reaching Bhutan you will take your ride to Paro where you will be staying for the night in a hotel
Today, you will head out to Thimpu. Thimphu is also the capital city of Bhutan which is the Himalayan kingdom holding the true value of Bhutanese art, culture, and architecture.
You will be visiting important and beautiful sites such as the National Memorial Chorten and Taschichho Dzonh, the administrative center of Bhutan. Also, you can try delicious local cuisines of Bhutan such as Ema Datshi, Jasha Maru and Momo.
Later, after strolling around, you will return to the lively bazaar (market street) and rest in Thimpu for the night.
This very day is separated to explore Thimpu fully and to discover the rich culture of Bhutan. You will visit Changangkha Monastery, Nunnery temple, School of Arts and Crafts, and Folk Heritage Museum to let oneself dive deep into the culture and history of the Bhutanese heritage.
Later, you will also visit the majestic Tashichhodzong and the huge Buddha statue on top of a hill that overlooks the whole Thimpu which is also known as the largest Buddha Shakyamuni in the world. After a whole day of strolling around Thimpu and getting to know the culture on a deeper level, you will return to the hotel.
On the eleventh day, you will embark on your day by visiting the Wangditse Monastery on foot. It is nearly an hour’s hike from Radio Tower. The route will take you through pine forests with stunning scenarios of the North Valley of Thimpu.
You can also see some rare species like Takins and Black-necked cranes on the way. After roaming around the Monastery for a while, you will descend again and get ready for your ride to Paro.
The journey will be around 1 hour long. In the evening you will roam around the village of Paro where you can learn more about the locals living there and dig deeper into the day-to-day life. You can visit farmhouses and have the local taste of buttered tea and local wines if you like. Later, you will stay in a hotel in Paro.
You will have your breakfast in Paro and prepare for your return flight to Kathmandu. Be sure you have not missed anything behind and also do last-minute shopping and buy souvenirs if you like so. You will be on a 1 hour 30 minute scenic flight.
Upon reaching Kathmandu stroll around the Thamel. In the evening you will have a short celebration of the completion of your beautiful journey as this is your last night in Kathmandu.
Well, it’s your last day of the journey and it’s sad we bid goodbyes to each other and part our ways. Make sure you have everything with you before leaving for the airport. Our representatives will drop you off at the International Airport.

Best Time of the Tour
The ideal time to visit Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet is indeed spring (April) and autumn (September-October), for the fairest climates are during these seasons.
During these seasons, the climate of Nepal as well as Bhutan is mild, and the average temperature in the day flies above 20 degrees Celsius. Most days’s weather is perfect for trekking and scrambling the natural environment around us. Flowers are blooming in spring, and everything has more colors in the nature.
Spring and autumn are also favorably regarded as the seasons when people like to spend much time outdoors in Tibet. It can be freezing at some times as the temperature can reduce to 0 degrees Celsius.
The primary attraction of these seasons is less humidity. It is extremely hopeful during the day since the skies are clear almost every day, making it ideal for the majestic mountain views.
